ORGAN PRELUDE
WORDS OF WELCOME AND NOTICES
CALL TO WORSHIP
We’ve come to worship God,
who loved us before we were yet born,
who knows us even better than we know ourselves,
whose presence never leaves us,
and whose love for us never ceases.
This is our God.
Let’s worship together!
HYMN MP 1072 In Christ Alone
1. In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this cornerstone, this solid ground,
firm through the fiercest
drought and storm.
What heights of love,
what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled,
when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all,
here in the love of Christ I stand.
2. In Christ alone
who took on flesh,
fullness of God in helpless Babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
scorned by the ones
he came to save
till on that cross as Jesus died,
the wrath of God was satisfied,
for every sin on Him was laid;
here in the death of Christ I live.
3. There in the ground his body lay,
light of the world by darkness slain,
then, bursting forth in glorious day,
up from the grave He rose again!
And as he stands in victory
sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
for I am His and He is mine –
bought with the precious blood of Christ.
4. No guilt in life, no fear in death,
this is the power of Christ in me;
from life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man
can ever pluck me from His hand;
till He returns or calls me home,
here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!
PRAYERS OF APPROACH & THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever. Amen
ALL AGE TALK
ALL AGE SONG GWA 113 God, we praise you for the women
1. God, we praise you for the women who have taught us to be strong, who have held us, who have raised us with a prayer and with a song.
2. Sarah laughed to hear the promise – God would bless her with a son;
Sarah laughed and Sarah doubted till she saw what God had done.
3. Pharaoh’s daughter, like a mother, lifted Moses from a pool, brought him safely to the palace where a slave would go to school.
4. Mary watched the senseless slaughter, as her son died on the cross; she who knew the joy of childbirth, now was torn by bitter loss.
5. As her life drew on toward evening, after she had raised her own, Lois held her baby grandson, told him of God’s love made known.
6. God, we praise you for the women who have taught us to be strong, who have held us, who have raised us with a prayer and with a song.

Welcome to worship in Bellshill and Bothwell Parish Church. Whether you join in person or online, come every week, are here for the first time or the first time in a long time, a very warm welcome.
Join us tonight and every Sunday evening in our West Halls at 5pm for a contemporary service with tea, coffee, juice and biscuits before the service. Tonight, Aileen explores ‘God in the Silence’ with us….
This service is live-streamed. Should you not wish to appear in the recording, please speak to our welcome team.
You’ll find tea, coffee, juice, and biscuits ready for you after the service in the Church Centre. We’d love for you to stick around for a cup of something warm and a good chat.
