CALL TO WORSHIP
HYMN CH4 422 Christ is alive
PRAYERS OF APPROACH & THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen
ALL AGE TALK
ALL AGE HYMN Here we are together
1.Here we are together,
now we can begin
The youngest and the oldest, the only child, the twin
Some who’re feeling left out, and some who’re feeling in
Gathering in this place.
Chorus
Welcome everybody,
it’s good to see you here
Welcome everybody,
it’s good to see you here
Welcome everybody,
it’s good to see you here
Gath ‘ring in this place.
2.Here we are together,
joining in this song,
Even those who feel, that their singing’s not that strong.
And as we sing may ev’ry person know that they belong,
Gath ‘ring in this place.
Chorus
3. Here we are together, with our hopes and fears,
Bringing many feelings, our laughter and our tears.
And now it’s time for ev’ry one to tell the world “WE’RE HERE!”,
Gath ‘ring in this place.
Chorus
FIRST READING Psalm 16
Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.
All: I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”
I say of the holy people who are in the land, “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.” Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips.
All: Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
All: I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
All: Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,
because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
All: You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
SECOND READING John 20:19-31

The West Halls are now closed for planned renovations. During this time, both our West Blend and Sunday evening services will be on a break until the halls reopen. We look forward to welcoming you back to both when the work is complete, and we will keep you updated on progress along the way.
Rev. Iain will be on leave from Tuesday, 22nd April, returning on Monday, 28th April, while his wife, Celeste, undergoes a hysterectomy. During the week of 28th April, he will be working from home as much as possible as she begins her long journey of recovery. We ask for your patience and understanding during this time. In the weeks after the operation, Iain may not always be as immediately available as usual. Please keep Iain, Celeste, and the family in your prayers.
Farewell to Aileen
Aileen’s final Sunday with us will be the 3rd of May. We are sad to see her go, but give thanks for the blessing she has been to our congregation as she has shared her ministry among us. If you would like to contribute to a farewell gift, please place your donation in a marked envelope in the basket, or pass it to our Session Clerks, Sally or David.
The Guild meets for the last event of its annual Syllabus at 7.15 on Monday 20th April when our special Guest Speaker will be The Right Reverend Dr Shaw Patterson, Moderator Emeritus. A light supper will be served. There is no cost to anyone for this event. A donation to support the Kirk’s work in Malawi will be made.
Places are limited, so please let Alison Rennie or Eleanor Barr know if you want to come along. You will be most warmly welcomed.
GIVING
Your generosity keeps our doors open and enables us to share the Gospel within our parish and further afield. If you would like to support the work of Bellshill and Bothwell Parish Church, a basket is available at the door. You are also welcome to give using the contactless machine or by scanning the QR code. Thank you.
Gift Aid, making Your Giving Go Even Further
Did you know you can boost your donation at no extra cost to you? When using the contactless giving machine, simply select the Gift Aid option. If you’re a UK taxpayer, for every £1 you give, the church receives an additional 25p, at no cost to you whatsoever. It’s a simple way to make your generosity go even further.
*Help Us Fill the Food Larder !*
Next time you’re out shopping, why not grab an extra item or two? You can drop off your donations in the trolley anytime outside the Chapterhouse Café. This will help stock out shelves at both our buildings to support our community.
