ORGAN PRELUDE

WORDS OF WELCOME AND NOTICES

CALL TO WORSHIP

Here, in the depths of winter, just eleven days into a new year, we gather seeking light. Here, in these dark January days, when Christmas joy seems already distant, we remember a moment by the river. The heavens opened. The Spirit descended. A voice spoke: “This is my beloved.”

All: We gather to worship the God who breaks through, who speaks into darkness, who begins something new. Let us worship God together.

PRAYERS OF APPROACH & THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever. Amen

Welcome to worship in Bellshill and Bothwell Parish Church. Whether you join in person or online, come every week, are here for the first time or the first time in a long time, a very warm welcome.

Join us tonight and every Sunday evening in our West Halls at 5pm for a contemporary service with tea, coffee, juice and biscuits before the service.

This service is live-streamed. Should you not wish to appear in the recording, please speak to our welcome team.

You’ll find tea, coffee, juice, and biscuits ready for you after the service in the Church Centre. We’d love for you to stick around for a cup of something warm and a good chat.
