ORGAN PRELUDE

WORDS OF WELCOME AND NOTICES

CALL TO WORSHIP

In mystery and grandeur
All: We see the face of God

In earthiness and the ordinary

All: We know the love of Christ

In heights and depths and life and death:
All: The spirit of God is moving among us. Let us praise God.

HYMN CH4 132                                                                                    Immortal, invisible

1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3. To all life Thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but naught changeth Thee.

4.Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All praise we would render, O help us to see:
’Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.

PRAYERS OF APPROACH & THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen

ALL AGE TALK

ALL AGE SONG                                                   I am the way, the truth and the life

I am the way, the truth and the life

That’s what Jesus said.

I am the way, the truth and the life

That’s what Jesus said.

Without the way there is no going,

Without the truth there is no knowing,

Without the life there is no growing

I am the way, the truth and the life

That’s what Jesus said.

1st BIBLE READING please join in with the words in bold                 Psalm 8

Lord, our Lord,  how majestic is your name in all the earth!

All: You have set your glory in the heavens.

Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

All: When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place

What are humans that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?

All: You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour.

Continued on the next page

You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild,
All: The birds in the sky,  and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

2nd BIBLE READING                                                                           Matthew 28:16-20

HYMN GWA 127                                                                                                    Holy Spirit

1. Holy Spirit, living breath of God

Breathe new life into my willing soul

Bring the presence of the risen Lord

To renew my heart

and make me whole

Cause Your Word

to come alive in me

Give me faith for what I cannot see

Give me passion for Your purity

Holy Spirit, breathe new life in me

2. Holy Spirit, come abide within

May Your joy be seen in all I do

Love enough to cover every sin

In each thought and deed and attitude

Kindness to the greatest and the least

Gentleness that sows the path of peace

Turn my strivings into works of grace

Breath of God, show Christ in all I do

3. Holy Spirit, from creation’s birth

Giving life to all that God has made

Show Your power once again on earth

Cause Your church to hunger for your ways

Let the fragrance of our prayers arise

Lead us on the road of sacrifice

That in unity the face of Christ

Will be clear for all the world to see

SERMON

PAUSE FOR REFLECTION

We pause to pray in silence and spend time with God while we listen to the music.

PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION

We pause to pray to God for the world, our community and one another.

HYMN                                                              Go forth and tell! (Tune Woodlands)

1. Go forth and tell!

O Church of God, awake!

God’s saving news to all the nations take.

Proclaim Christ Jesus, Saviour, Lord, and King,

That all the world His worthy praise may sing.

2. Go forth and tell! God’s love embraces all;

He will in grace respond to all who call;

how shall they call if they have never heard

the gracious invitation of his word?

3. Go forth and tell! The doors are open wide;

share God’s good gifts, let no one be denied

Live out your life as Christ your Lord shall choose;

Your ransomed powers for His sole glory use.

4. Go forth and tell! O Church of God, arise!

Go in the strength which Christ your Lord supplies.

Go till all nations His great name adore,

And serve Him, Lord and King forever more.

BENEDICTION We remain standing, if we are able, for the blessing.
